CAMPUS MISSIONARY ADOPTION SUPPORT
You can be a part of God’s great work through these great people by supporting our missionaries through monetary gifts, prayer, correspondence, hospitality and occasional special projects.

DISASTER PREPAREDNESS & RESPONSE

The Christ UMC Disaster Response Team is continuing to prepare our congregation for future disasters. We continue to build on the disaster response plan that originated with the April tornado. Also, February’s Mission Emphasis will be Disaster Preparedness & Response. At that time we will be offering workshops, training, and other resources to prepare us to care for our families, our church family, our local community and broader regions affected by disaster.

• Prepare & keep emergency supplies on hand for your household. Lists of supplies are available online or in the Missions Office.
• Volunteer to assist with disaster response. Check the website, newsletters & bulletins for volunteer opportunities.
• Train to be a part of an Emergency Response Team (ERT). Training available through the UM Conference.

MISSION TRIPS
Trips will be offered during the summer, Spring Break week and whenever other opportunities become available. Our summer youth trip involves helping with VBS, painting houses, visiting homeless, working in soup kitchens and other activities.

• Adults are needed to help chaperone and work with our youth on trips
• Support fund raising efforts

SPECIAL OFFERINGS & OPPORTUNITIES
Throughout the year we take up special offerings for financial support of various ministries. We traditionally have a Christmas and Easter special offering, but we additionally provide support in emergency situations such as earthquakes, fires, and floods. Some of our yearly offerings also
includes support for United Methodist Committee on Relief and UM Senior Services. Also our children donate their Vacation Bible School offerings to various missions each year. We offer special mission projects in which individuals, families and larger groups (Bible studies, Sunday School classes, small groups)may participate during the seasons of Advent & Lent.
