Women’s Groups
At CUMC, where our goal is to be a community experiencing the transforming grace
of Jesus Christ, we have a number of ministries that specifically target women,
give them opportunities to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and
develop meaningful relationships with other women. Some of these, like UMW and
Moms in Christ, are ministries of our church, while others, like Explorer’s Bible Study, are well-established outside ministries that we host. Women attend from our church, other local churches, and from the community at-large. There is something for women of every age. United Methodist Women (UMW)
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Small groups (Circles) which provide opportunities for women of all ages and lifestyles, usually meet the 3rd week of each month: on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the day and on Tuesday evenings.
Our unit, composed of all circles, offers four general meetings a year. One of these meetings is our
Tablescapes event. This event has been our major fundraiser for Missions over the last two years.
