United Methodist Women

UMW focuses on mission, education, spiritual growth and fellowship. The organized unit of the United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. These attributes of the UMW align perfectly with the mission and vision of Christ United in making disciples of Jesus Christ, who know, love, and serve.

As an affiliate of the national UMW, the circles of Christ United are part of the 22,500 local unites and approximately 800,000 members nation-wide.
Nationally, members raise nearly $18 million a year for programs and projects related to women, children, and youth in the United States and more than 100 countries around the world!

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers. We also believe that incubating hearts and giving just-because-hugs can change the course of history. That’s why this organization assists in connecting moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. MOPS groups are rallying women to be more honest, to feel more equipped and to find our identity by journeying along side one another. We are moms, and we believe that better moms make a better world.

Mothers, all ages and all stages will benefit from this study group that explores the many areas of motherhood from a biblical perspective. The focus is to encourage women at every age and stage of motherhood to strengthen their relationship with God, which in turn strengthens their relationship and influence within the home and family. Our community of participants learn from the Bible and each other every week through study and round table discussion time. Moms in Christ meets every Tuesday morning at 9:00am on campus in room 235.
