    Topic

    The Election

    Scripture

    1 Timothy 2:1-4

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.

    Prayer

Heavenly Father, we lift up our election and pray that your sovereign will be done in the hearts of those casting votes, in the outcome, in the lives of those elected and in our nation.

We pray that you would guide and direct our elected leaders to provide for our people God honoring principles and programs, resources and care that enable us as a nation to live peaceful and quiet lives in godliness and holiness. And may we as a nation come to a knowledge of your truth and be saved.

We thank you for your sovereignty and provision over our nation and where we fall short and fail to follow your will we humbly repent, seek your face and pray that you would heal our nation to your glory and honor. Amen
