Congregational Care

Congregational Care Banner

This Ministry area of Christ United Diligently seeks to identify and develop resources to meet the needs of our congregation. We are committed to coming along side anyone in need with prayer, support, and acts of kindness. Our Congregation, like any other typical body of believers, is comprised of people who experience challenges that impact their physical , emotional, and spiritual well-being. We want to be there for you. If you or a loved one needs pastoral care, please call the pastoral care line at 601-956-2211, the main church number 601-956-6974, or email us at  .

Caring for Others

Stephen Ministry

The Stephen Ministry program equips volunteers to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry. The identity of those receiving care and what takes place in each caring relationship remains private. If you or someone you know could benefit from the care of a Stephen Minister, please contact us. To request information about Stephen Ministry, please email us at .

Prayer Ministry

Prayers & Squares Quilts

Quilts are hung in the prayer room. A knot is tied in the threads on the quilt to represent a prayer you have made. When all threads are knotted, the quilt is presented to the recipient who is literally "covered in prayer". To request a quilt, fill out the request care in the prayer box beside the prayer room.

Prayer Room Intercessors Ministry

Volunteers commit to a special hour each week when they will come to the Prayer Room to pray for the requests that have been submitted during the week. Post cards are sent on behalf of the church to those prayed for to make them aware of the prayers, including any scripture that might encourage them.

Cancer Prayer Partners & Support

A volunteer is matched to a cancer patient to pray with them through treatment and recovery for one-on-one support.

Hedge Prayer Team

Each Sunday, volunteers go to the Prayer Room and pray for the pastors, worship leaders, and congregation during the worship service, covering every aspect of the service with a hedge of protection thru prayer. The commitment is for one month per year, 30 minutes during the worship service. The worship bulletin is a guide for your prayer.
